Winlink Development Team

The Winlink Development Team (WDT) comprises an exceptional group of talented and dedicated radio amateurs. Listed in alphabetical order, they are:

  • Hans A. Kessler, N8PGR, in addition to running a PMBO also operates the Central Mal Box Office (CMBO);
  • Rick Muething, KN6KB, is a systems developer and inventor and also operates a PMBO;
  • Victor D. Poor, W5SMM, is the originator of Winlink and a leading consultant in digital communications; and
  • Steve Waterman, K4CJX, is the Team's Coordinator/Administrator and assists with the establishment of new Winlink PMBOs. He also operates a PMBO with several stations.

The greater Winlink Team includes, apart from those named above, more than 30 amateur radio operators, worldwide,  who have established and operate PMBOs. The list of all PMBOs and their operating frequencies is found on www.winlink.org.

Jim Corenman (KE6RK) is the developer  of the AirMail end-user program. The success of Winlink and SailMail, a system that allows commercial traffic, is possible only because of his unselfish contribution.
