This Presentation is intended, primarily, for Australian radio
amateurs, yachtsmen and outback travelers who would like to learn about Digital
Amateur Radio Communications. Winlink, a volunteer amateur radio service,
provides the world’s largest and most successful digital amateur
radio communications network. What’s more, it provides the service for free.
It is assumed that a large proportion of the audience for this presentation has
no earlier exposure to Winlink. Therefore, it has been kept as simple as
possible. It briefly describes the main features only. Because Winlink has so
many features it is not possible to cover all adequately in only 16 slides.
However, the presentation was deliberately designed to take no longer than 30
minutes. This should allow extra time for questions and answers during an actual
presentation or the preparation of questions to be put by email.
It is hoped that this presentation will help all with a possible interest in the
subject decide whether they should join as Users, as a System Operator or assist
in some other capacity. If not, please pass the information on to others who
might need this service. Now:
