Other Beneficiaries of WinlinkWhile other beneficiaries, without amateur radio licenses, will not be able to access the radio stations operated by Users or PMBOs, they can send to and receive from the distant traveler email messages via the Internet. They can do so by sending their message to the distant traveler via the Internet to the Central Mail Box Office (CMBO) located in the US. The CMBO will forward the message to the PMBO's to be kept there until collected by the Winlink User via radio. By the same token, any message that might have been received, via the Internet, by the CMBO will be forwarded by the CMBO, via the Internet, to the addressee's Internet email address. |
